The Tsecmenúl̓ecwem-kt (chah-men-OO-lehw-em-kt) Initiative is a watershed-scale program focused on monitoring, ecological research, restoration, and adaptive management in the Deadman River watershed. Founded and led by Skeetchestn, this work combines local knowledge, community voices, and science to better understand the challenges facing the watershed and take action where it matters most. It reflects a long-term commitment to restoration, learning, and stewardship, grounded in Skeetchestn’s responsibility to care for the tmicw for future generations.
